The Ferry

This past Saturday began with a fast and bible study at the church from 8-12 AM. It was so cool to see the church members studying and learning. Justin and I participated for awhile and then went on a bike ride with Cesar and Rony up and down many mountains...it was rough, but was awesome to see God's creation. (here is a pic of a place we rode by after we were off of the mountain)
On Saturday night the church held a vigil service from 7pm-2am. Justin went to this while I accompanied a member of the church to go preach at the church in Palmares while Dimas stayed for the prayer vigil in Alajuela. Both experiences were great for Justin and me.

Because of the late night service on Sat., no services were held on Sunday. We slept in and then got to just enjoy an awesome meal at Carli's (Carlos) house with all of the Costa Rican dining specialties: rice and beans, meat, salad, coffee and this pancake-type dessert. It was great just to relax and spend time with the different church members.

On Monday, we took a day long trip to Guanacaste with Dimas and German, in which we had to ride a cool ferry to get across the gulf. We made it back just in time for a little soccer mejenga (match) down at the Futbol 5. (here are some pics from the ferry)
